Refund Policy

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We grant a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee on top of any statutory rights. The deal is simple: if you're not happy with Transcriptor within the first 30 days after purchase — for any reason or no reason at all — we refund the full purchase price.

You don't have to justify the request. You don't have to fill out a form. You don't have to argue with anyone. The voluntary guarantee runs in parallel to the statutory right of withdrawal (see § 2) and gives you the longer protection period whenever it applies.

Fair use: the voluntary 30-day guarantee is meant for honest dissatisfaction. We reserve the right to refuse repeated refunds to the same customer where evident abuse occurs (e.g. systematic buy-and-refund cycles). Your statutory consumer rights under EU law remain entirely unaffected by this fair-use clause.

2. Statutory 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Consumers within the European Union have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded, provided we have supplied you with the statutory pre-contractual information and the confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (e.g. the order-confirmation email).

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send a clear statement of your decision to withdraw — an informal email is sufficient. Because your paid contract is concluded with Lemon Squeezy LLC as Merchant of Record (see § 10), the withdrawal is legally directed to Lemon Squeezy as the seller. For your convenience you do not need to contact Lemon Squeezy yourself: simply send your declaration to support@ai-transcriptor.com, by phone at +49 1521 5463383, or by post to Luis Ens, Am Neugraben 9, 79112 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, and we will receive and forward it to Lemon Squeezy on its behalf without delay. Alternatively, you may declare the withdrawal directly via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. You may use the model withdrawal form provided in our Terms & Conditions, § 8, but you are not required to. To meet the deadline it is enough that you send your declaration before the 14-day period expires.

Because the software license is a contract for the supply of digital content, the right of withdrawal could in theory expire early once we begin performance at your explicit request. We voluntarily waive this early expiry and grant the full 14-day right of withdrawal even if your license is activated immediately after purchase.

Electronic withdrawal function (from 19 June 2026): As of 19 June 2026 you can also exercise your statutory right of withdrawal directly through an online withdrawal function — open the link in your order-confirmation email or your Lemon Squeezy customer portal and select "Withdraw from contract". Receipt of your withdrawal will be confirmed without delay on a durable medium (by email). You remain free to withdraw by any clear statement instead, for example a plain email to support@ai-transcriptor.com.

3. How to Request a Refund

You have two routes. The email route in Option A always works and is sufficient to meet any statutory deadline. The self-serve portal route in Option B is available for most subscriptions but may not appear for every order — if you don't see a "Request refund" option, simply email us and we'll process it on our side.

Option A — Email us directly

1. Send an email to support@ai-transcriptor.com.
2. Include the email address you used at checkout or your Lemon Squeezy order number (starts with #, found in your purchase confirmation email).
3. You'll receive a confirmation within one business day. The refund itself is processed by Lemon Squeezy and arrives within 5 – 10 business days.

Option B — Self-serve in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal

1. Open the purchase confirmation email from Lemon Squeezy.
2. Click the "Manage your subscription" link.
3. In the portal, click "Request refund" and confirm.
4. The portal shows the refund status in real time.
5. If the "Request refund" button is not shown for your order, email support@ai-transcriptor.com instead — this always works and meets the statutory deadline.

If you can't find the confirmation email, just write us — we'll look up the order on our side.

4. Processing Time & Method

Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy LLC in its capacity as Merchant of Record and seller (see § 10), using the same payment method you used at checkout (credit card, PayPal, etc.). You won't incur any fees as a result of the refund.

For EU consumers exercising the statutory right of withdrawal, Lemon Squeezy reimburses all payments received without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days after the withdrawal declaration is received, in line with §§ 355(3) and 357a German Civil Code (BGB) governing the supply of digital products. Once you have sent your request to support@ai-transcriptor.com, we trigger the refund with Lemon Squeezy on your behalf without delay; the 5 – 10 business-day windows below are the normal bank-side turnaround after Lemon Squeezy releases the refund and never extend this statutory deadline.

• Credit / debit card: typically 5 – 10 business days, depending on your issuing bank.
• PayPal: usually within 1 – 3 business days.
• Other methods: see Lemon Squeezy's refund documentation.

Settlement times above refer to your bank's processing window after Lemon Squeezy releases the refund and are outside our control.

5. What Happens to Your License & Data

Once a refund is issued, your Pro license is deactivated and your account is automatically downgraded to the Free Tier (3 videos / 7 days). Your local settings stay put. Everything the extension keeps in your own browser — your prompt presets, custom prompts, chosen AI target and usage counter (see our Privacy Policy, § 3) — lives on your device and is not touched by a refund, so you can keep using the Free Tier or repurchase later without losing your configuration. To wipe that local data yourself, simply uninstall the extension. Your right to erasure stays intact. A refund does not waive any of your data-protection rights. If you want us to delete the data we actually hold about you — for example your license record on our license backend (license key, activation ID and device-name slot, see Privacy Policy, § 7a) or your past support emails (§ 10) — just email support@ai-transcriptor.com and we will erase it in line with Art. 17 GDPR, unless we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. payment and invoice data held by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record for statutory tax-retention periods). 6. Subscription Renewals

Transcriptor is sold as a yearly subscription. You can cancel renewal at any time in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal — see Terms & Conditions, § 7. After cancellation, Pro access remains active until the end of the already-paid billing period.

If a renewal charge surprises you (you forgot to cancel, the reminder email went to spam, etc.), reach out to support@ai-transcriptor.com within 30 days of the renewal under our voluntary money-back guarantee and we'll arrange a full refund of the renewal with Lemon Squeezy — the same way as for a first-time purchase. This voluntary guarantee is granted in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory right of withdrawal against Lemon Squeezy as seller (see § 2 and § 10).

7. Chargebacks

If something feels off, please contact us first before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks cost both sides time and fees, and we genuinely just want to make it right. A short email is faster than a dispute and gets you the same money back.

8. Duplicate or Accidental Purchases

If you accidentally purchased twice (e.g. double-click during checkout) or bought the wrong tier, write us at support@ai-transcriptor.com with both order numbers. We refund the duplicate immediately, no 30-day-window argument.

9. Free Tier

The Free Tier (3 videos per rolling 7 days, Executive Summary prompt) is — as the name suggests — free. There is no payment, hence no refund. If you'd like to downgrade from Pro to Free, see § 5.

10. Merchant of Record

All paid transactions are concluded with and processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC, 17 Edgewood Road, Edison, NJ 08820, USA, acting as the "Merchant of Record" (MoR). This means Lemon Squeezy — not Luis Ens — is your legal contracting party and the seller of the paid software license. Lemon Squeezy is therefore the party legally responsible for payment processing, tax calculation and remittance, invoicing, and for issuing refunds, including any reimbursement owed when you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal. Luis Ens (the "Provider") is the developer and licensor of the software and acts as Lemon Squeezy's authorised point of contact for refund and withdrawal requests: any request you send to support@ai-transcriptor.com is received and processed by the Provider on Lemon Squeezy's behalf and forwarded to Lemon Squeezy for execution. For your convenience you only ever have to contact us — you never need to deal with Lemon Squeezy directly, although you may also use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy additionally apply to this purchase. The refund terms on this page reflect what we and Lemon Squeezy grant and are at least as generous as Lemon Squeezy's standard refund policy.

If we update this Refund Policy, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes. Material changes only apply to purchases made after the update — your existing 30-day guarantee window is locked in at the policy version that was in force at the time of your purchase.
